We are looking for an Associate Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior finance professional to develop expertise in financial reporting within the insurance industry, with exposure to Solvency II and IFRS frameworks.
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of financial statements and regulatory reports for Gibraltar and Malta entities, including both entity-level and consolidated accounts.
- Support the production of quarterly and annual external reports for regulators, auditors, and tax authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of Solvency II filings, including SFCR, RSR, and QRTs.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data used in regulatory filings and statutory reporting.
- Support tax and regulatory filings, including Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and corporate tax returns.
- Assist with the implementation of new or updated reporting requirements and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
- Work with internal stakeholders to document, maintain, and continuously improve financial reporting processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance accounting or financial reporting.
- External audit experience is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn.
