Senior Risk Manager

We are looking on behalf of our client, for a Senior Risk Manager.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in delivering the risk management framework across Gibraltar and London.
  • Monitor and enhance risk management processes, including horizon scanning and emerging risk assessments.
  • Maintain and develop key risk policies, reports, and regulatory submissions, including Operational Risk, Third Party Risk Management, Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, and security risk reporting.
  • Promote effective risk management practices across the business, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated appropriately.
  • Oversee the Bank’s Business Continuity Management and Third Party Risk Management frameworks.
  • Review and approve outsourcing risk assessments and exit strategies.
  • Manage the Bank’s incident reporting process and maintain the Risk Inventory.
  • Support enterprise-wide risk assessments, including cyber, fraud, and operational risks.
  • Oversee the Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) framework, ensuring risks and controls are appropriately identified and documented.
  • Manage the Bank’s insurance programme and support the monitoring of KPIs, KRIs, and management information reporting.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Lead or support risk related projects and initiatives across the organisation.
  • Promote awareness of Consumer Duty principle.
Required:
  • Previous Risk Management experience is essential
  • Experience of monitoring Risk Management frameworks
  • Experience of documenting Risk Management activities in a way that meets regulators’ and auditors’ expectations
  • In-depth knowledge of the private banking industry and relevant regulatory requirements/expectations
  • Knowledge across all types of risk management including Financial, Trading Book, Credit (client and non-client), Operational, IT, Conduct & Reputational, Legal & Compliance and Business & Strategy
  • Ability to travel between Gibraltar and London on a regular basis
  • Strong IT and presentational skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Committed to ongoing professional development, including staying up to date with matters relevant to the role
