We are looking on behalf of our client for a Litigation Lawyer who will be conducting commercial civil litigation. The successful candidate will engage in high-level, high-quality commercial litigation and be responsible for drafting pleadings, witness statements, and skeleton arguments. Attending court in a supporting role will also be a component of this position. You will be responsible for a range of duties that include insolvency litigation, representing in asset recovery and legal actions for recovered monies and employment litigation in civil matters, as well as judicial reviews and shipping litigation.
Requirements:
- Qualified barrister or solicitor under English law (solicitor advocates preferred).
- A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in commercial civil litigation.
- Adaptable and willing to learn across different areas of civil litigation.
- Hardworking, with the flexibility to work longer hours when required, particularly around deadlines.
- Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Capacity to develop into an advocate and manage cases independently over time.
- Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, as applied under English law in Gibraltar.
