Our client, a financial services company, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their project management team. You’ll be responsible for the planning, execution, control and delivery of a wide range of property development projects from concept design to delivery.
Duties:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Determine and define scope of work and deliverables.
- Predict resources needed to complete project.
- Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.
- Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts.
- Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and contractors.
- Analyse, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Select, coordinate, manage and supervise contractors, subcontractors and suppliers’ relationships.
- Management, organization and implementation of bidding work.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
- Responsible for the entire design management of the projects to ensure the progress and quality requirements of each project.
- Control work progress to ensure the quality is in accordance with contract regulations and standards.
- Controlling technical requirements, list of materials for construction/specialized bidding packages.
- Managing the implementation of construction cost control activities for investment projects.
- Draft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Manage costs in order to meet budget.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines.
- Chairing progress meetings, writing reports and giving presentations.
Required:
- University graduate (Bs) in construction, architecture, engineering, building science or relevant field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- APM, PMP or equivalent project management certification will be an advantage.
- At least 10 years of experience in the field of project management within construction. Experience with Real Estate Developers is an advantage.
- Experience in project management for high-rise building with at least 2 basement floors is an advantage.
- Extensive, relevant expertise in construction management and project management of mixed use, masterplans, residential and hospitality projects.
- Mastering UK construction standards & regulations.
- Language: English is compulsory. Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.
