We are looking on behalf of our client for an IT Support Officer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting and managing IT systems, resolving hardware and software issues, and addressing technical queries either remotely or on-site.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and resolve IT service requests with a sense of ownership, focusing on root cause resolution, preventative measures, and minimising system downtime.
- Regularly manage, monitor, and maintain systems and infrastructure to meet evolving business demands and strict security standards.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of internal documentation, training guides, and IT policies, with an emphasis on security procedures.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to support risk mitigation strategies and incident response protocols.
Required:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role or a degree in IT, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware for desktops and laptops.
- Solid understanding of networking principles including DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and security protocols.
- Experience in supporting, configuring, and deploying applications and operating systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, including access control, endpoint protection, and secure configurations.
- Proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools.
