    Resort General Manager – Costa del Sol               

    RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Front Office
    • Housekeeping
    • Food & Beverage
    • Commercial Departments

    Primary duties:

    • Under the general guidance of the Group Resort Management Director assess, evaluate and ensure that long-term and short-term goals of the Rooms Division, Food & Beverage and Commercial departments are met
    • To direct and manage the Front Office Manager and Executive Housekeeper so operations at Front Office and Housekeeping provides efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to customers and optimise guest satisfaction
    • Direct the Food & Beverage Manager and Commercial departments to direct and manage all food & beverage revenue, profitability and quality goals by developing and executing marketing strategies, up-selling strategies, controlling costs, and providing quality service and products to guests
    • All work will be in line with the resort’s guidelines and business plan, the departmental business plan, and corporate guidelines and service concepts.

    Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assess, evaluate and ensure goals of rooms division, food & beverage and commercial departments are met
    • Direct and manage department heads to achieve division’s goals
    • Laws, regulations and policies
      • Monitors and makes sure each department follows all applicable laws
      • Monitors purchasing practices within division to ensure maximum quality to lowest possible price
    • Human resources management
    • Employee relations
    • Health and safety

    Languages

    • Native/Bi-lingual English/other language. Spanish essential.

    Experience

    • Experience in the hotel/resort-based industry
