Assistant Financial Controller – Reinsurance Analyst (One year contract)

Being responsible for all the financial workings across the European region in relation to reinsurance.

Based in Gibraltar, the British Overseas Territory adjacent to Southern Spain, our client is a well-established insurance company providing a range of insurance products to a corporate and private client base.

The role requires a Part-Qualified Accountant, ACCA or equivalent, for a one-year contract to cover maternity leave. Supporting the Financial Controller, you will have a strong insurance background and be responsible for all the financial workings across the European region in relation to reinsurance. This will involve preparing monthly working papers with respect to reinsurance elements for the European entities.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel to advanced level
2. Partly qualified Accountant (Bachelor of Commerce, ACCA or similar qualification)
3. In depth knowledge of the insurance market
4. Fluent in English and able to communicate both in writing and orally
5. Reporting research skills
6. Fluent on IT systems
