    Operational Risk Manager for a local financial institution based in Gibraltar.

    ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist risk owners with the documentation of risks and controls in the risk register
    • Assess the effectiveness of risk mitigation and challenge business risk assessments
    • Identify and document issues and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions
    • Track and verify completion of material risk remediation action plans
    • Plan, manage and report on the control framework and provide assurance and enhancements
    • Work with the Group Chief Risk Officer to prepare risk reporting packs to the Group’s governance committees
    • Assist event owners with the documentation and analysis of events
    • Assist the business with the design and development of control as required
    • Support risk management training and education across the business

    SPECIFIC DELIVERABLES:

    • Enable regulatory change, OR governance and reporting
    • Provide Operational Risk advice and monitor key & emerging risks
    • Support the Implementation of the company’s Operational Risk Management (ORM) program and practices
    • Act as a leader in Risk by:
    • Support the strategy, culture and activities that enable the team to operate as an integrated organization
    • Support a culture of integrity and behaviours that align to the company’s professional standards
    • Provide coaching and guidance to colleagues in a matrix environment
    • Work collaboratively across teams, contributing to an engaged workforce who are effective, knowledgeable and adaptable
    • Contribute to an environment of continuous personal growth

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have experience within Operational Risk Management, or Internal/External Audit
    • 3+ years’ experience gained within Financial Services
    • Excellent presentation and report writing skills
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
    • Business-minded with entrepreneurial spirit
