    Responsible for management of daily accounting, tax, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements of the Bank reporting to Chief Operating Officer

    Accounting & Finance:

    • Management of the day-to-day accounting operations for the banking products, Treasury and Bank’s own operations
    • Handling all accounting, taxation and reporting related queries
    • Management of the preparation of the monthly accounts for submission and discussion
    • Monthly review, consolidation and reconciliation of Bank financials
    • Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and relevant tax returns
    • Development of accounting policies and procedures as well as responsibility for oversight of accounts and General Ledger function within the Core Banking system
    • Maintain and enhance the controls environment within the finance area
    • Provide advice and technical expertise regarding the correct implementation of IFRS reporting standards ensuring careful consideration is given to all changes which will impact the company
    • Review the financials ensuring a timely and consistent approach to consolidations and reporting
    • Provide accounting and technical expertise to ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met
    • Lead the process of drafting annual and interim reports and other public reports
    • Lead and manage the annual external audits and relevant reviews
    • Preparation of CEO and board meeting materials
    • Manage the banks relationship with the auditors

    Regulatory reporting:

    • Responsibility for managing the preparation and review of the GFSC reports on a periodic basis (monthly, quarterly and annual reporting)
    • Manage the daily financial reporting resources
    • Monitor the capital and other regulatory requirements of the business on the consolidated basis
    • Monitor changes to the regulatory reporting requirements and ensure any changes are appropriately implemented
    • Taxation
    • Responsibility for development and implementation of the Companies global tax compliance requirements
    • Ensuring the company continues to meet its local tax compliance requirements
    • Management of the documentation and calculation of the transfer pricing
    • Management of relationship with tax advisors


    • Involvement in ad hoc projects e.g. ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations.
    • Perform ongoing testing of the companies’ controls, in particular the outsourced functions
    • Lead, motivate and support members of the finance team to ensure they perform their delegated tasks in an accurate, timely and professional manner in accordance with current best practice and finance protocols.

    Knowledge and skills required:

    • Qualified accountant, be that ACA or ACCA and with relevant post qualification experience, ideally in a banking sector or Big 4 firm
    • Strong academic qualifications – Bachelor or Master degree in Finance and accounting, Economics or relevant financial degree
    • IFRS expertise, IAS39/IFRS9 – in particular
    • Knowledge of local Tax. Knowledge of international Tax, VAT and FATCA would be an advantage
    • Knowledge of GFSC regulatory reporting framework as well as CRD/CRR/EBA reporting standards
    • Knowledge of capital requirements (CRD/CRR/EBA standards) highly desired
    • Project Management experience with a focus on process improvement would be an advantage
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
