    Head of Compliance (Gaming)

    This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with strong regulatory knowledge and experience looking to advance their career.  This is a crucial internal role, with a high-level of responsibility and scope to lead and develop the compliance function.   This role will suit someone who is motivated, innovative, project orientated and who has prior experience working in a compliance function development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all policies and training required for effective regulatory compliance are in place and managed
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that the AML/CTF and safer gaming approach and processes are closely aligned and operate to protect players effectively
    • Engagement with regulators and industry bodies on safer gaming and AML/CTF related activities.
    • Effective translation of complex regulatory requirements, and risks into addressable action, working with the operational teams to create project plans and managing the delivery of these programmes
    • Lead on safer gaming policy, process and training development and implementation
    • Conduct risk assessments and gap analysis against regulations, guidance and legislation
    • Manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and regular compliance health checks
    • Providing leadership, management and development to the compliance function
    • Actively keep up-to-date with compliance developments and share knowledge across relevant internal stakeholders
    • Work in close relationship with operational and technical teams to specify and develop tools and features to ensure compliance.

    Candidate requirements:

    • Membership and compliance qualifications completed with a reputable professional body, such as the International Compliance Association, or Gibraltar Association of Compliance Officers
    • Significant experience working in a multi-jurisdictional compliance team in a regulated sector
    • Good understanding of gambling regulation and requirements
    • Technically excellent whilst being commercial in approach
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
    • Experience of meeting deadlines and effectively managing multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
    • Proven ability to manage and develop an effective team managing strategy and operational activities.
    • Curiosity about how the business operates with the ability to maintain an open mind for new technologies and innovative solutions
    • Strong written and spoken fluency in the English language, with foreign language skills (particularly German) advantageous.
