    Job Information

    Main responsibilities:

    • To work with the Head of Compliance to ensure compliance with the financial services legislation.
    • To be the main point of contact between the firm and the GFSC in relation to compliance matters.

    Main duties:

    • Manage and update internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with any existing and new regulatory and legislative requirements both in Gibraltar and externally
    • Dealing with internal and external enquires in a professional and timely manner
    • Carrying out due diligence, risk assessment and compliance checks for new business
    • Undertaking periodic reviews and risk assessments of existing client relationships and business
    • Providing guidance on the approval of any ‘trigger event’ changes for existing client relationships
    • Undertaking any compliance project work as and when required
    • Help to maintain all relevant compliance registers and files in line with regulatory requirements
    • Ensure all incidents/breaches are identified, recorded and escalated to the board as appropriate
    • Work closely with the other team members to provide a coordinated compliance service to the business
    • Complete any other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the, Board, Head of Compliance and Group Compliance and Risk Director

    Personal Specifications:

    • Offer will be conditional on gaining GFSC approval for the role
    • Excellent understanding of Gibraltar financial services legislation, specific to the provision of trust and company services
    • Minimum of three years in a compliance role
    • Experience in dealing with FATCA & CRS reporting
    • An understanding of the requirements of GDPR
    • Able to communicate well in English, both in writing and orally
    • Excellent organisational skills, with a strong attention to detail
    • Ability to stay abreast and adapt to new regulatory changes as and when they arise
    • Experience of working to deadlines, multi-tasking and having a pro-active approach is essential for the role
