    Reporting to the Head of Compliance, the Compliance Officer will assist with the new business inception process in line with legislation and regulatory requirements. This will entail gathering due diligence materials from a number of sources, anti-money laundering processes for new and existing clients, on-going client monitoring and other risk management procedures.

    Candidate requirements:

    • Sound intellectual skills evidenced by a strong academic background to graduate level or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
    • Experience of KYC/Compliance/AML gained in a professional services environment is desirable.
    • Knowledge of the Money Laundering Regulations
    • Understanding of different corporate/trust structures and applicable laws in Gibraltar
    • Knowledge and experience of dealing with complex ownership structures and companies based in high risk jurisdictions
    • Unquestionable integrity and professionalism;
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite – Excel and Outlook essential.
    • Experience of Viewpoint system or equivalent would be an advantage.
    • Proficient in the use of due diligence and AML systems
    • Able to successfully form, build, develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with people from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds up to and including Board level.
    • Excellent verbal, face to face an written communication skills
    • Demonstrates excellent organisational, time, project and diary management skills and the proven ability to balance competing and often conflicting demands for resources in order to achieve objectives without sacrificing quality and accuracy.
    • Client orientated with the ability to handle highly confidential information and maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
