Claims Adjuster

Our client, a leading provider of Insurance products is looking to recruit a Claims Adjuster to strengthen their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering first notification of loss calls from policyholders
  • Verifying policy coverage in a timely manner in accordance with claims guidelines and collection of premium
  • Managing a portfolio of insurance Warranty claims, liaising with third party suppliers and policy holders
  • Proactive claims management from notification through to settlement
  • Investigating and performing basic fraud checks
  • Negotiating settlement of claims within authority level
  • Ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met and maintained
  • Ensure full compliance with all internal and external regulations
  • Provide support to the Claims Team as and when required and be open to developing knowledge of insurance and handling claims

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Previous experience of working in general insurance, customer service, underwriting or legal but not necessarily within claims
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Professional manner
  • Effective verbal and written communication, time management, organization skills
  • Excellent customer service and telephone manner
  • Good written and numeracy skills
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft applications
