Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant required for a leading corporate, trust and fund services firm based in Gibraltar. This is a full-time position in the Client Accounting Department.

The role offers excellent exposure to the financial services sector as the individual will be a key member of an established corporate and fiduciary services provider, servicing a wide range of international clients.

  • To assist with the preparation of the financial statements for their client companies and trusts, whilst adhering to relevant regulatory filing requirements.
  • Additional duties include fund accounting, preparation of NAV reporting, reporting to investors and preparation of regulatory reporting, as well as liaising with clients and professional intermediaries alike.
  • The role will also include providing other accounting related services to their clients.

The successful applicant should be at least part ACCA/ACA qualified, or possess a similar or higher qualification, have a good working knowledge of EXCEL, have excellent oral and written communications skills, be hardworking, motivated and a good team player.

The ideal candidate for the role would preferably have prior industry experience as well as fund accounting knowledge.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance is preferred, or at least part ACCA/ACA qualified or possess a similar or higher qualification.
  • Prior industry experience as well as fund accounting knowledge is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised individual who is an excellent team player.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to multi-task.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (required) and Viewpoint (preferred).
